Educational affairs

Educational affairs consist for instance quality of studies, study counselling, examination practices and the compensation of absences. Educational affairs include all efforts and goals, which aim to develop the education in Laurea. The students' union co-operates a lot with the administration of Laurea in educational affairs. For instance LAUREAMKO’s board regularly meets with the principal and other members of Laurea’s board.

Social affairs

LAUREAMKO is very concern in student’s wellbeing. Student union tries to influence student’s conditions doing regular co-operation with pastors, study psychologist and public health nurse. There is also a wellbeing taskforce – that also includes students – in every Laurea unit.

Promoting social affairs also consists of improving housing, living, health care and leisure activities. To promote students' social conditions students' union takes part in social policy debate and operates in different working groups.
