Secretaries run the union day to day

LAUREAMKO has 4 full-time employees, General Secretary, International Secretary, Membership Secretary and Communications Secretary.

General Secretary is in charge of running the union´s day-to-day activities. The work includes helping members with any questions they have, managing the union´s finances and administration, and acting as a secretary to the Board. The General Secretary also manages the rest of the staff, and works alongside the board in representing the student union and as a contact person for Laurea, partners and other interest groups. The International Secretary works together with the representatives for tutoring, educational politics and international issues by planning, coordinating and implementing tutoring at Laurea´s each unit, as well as by providing orientation for foreign students to the Finnish way of life. Your involvement is welcome and you can get involved in the tutoring field by contacting the International Secretary at international.secretary(at)laureamko.fi.

The Membership Secretary takes care of all membership issues, including applications and student cards. She takes part in student unions development of communications and service activities, by working together with the board presidents, board representative for events and communications secretary. Secretary works mainly in Tikkurila campus but you can meet her in Leppävaara and Otaniemi as well, during office opening hours.
