1. Sports day - Pylly Ylös Sohvalta!
We are having a playful, fun and sporty day for Laurea students. This event takes place at Leppävaara sport field right next to Laurea Leppävaara on the 20th of April from 12pm till 4pm. You can sign up in groups of four(4) and the entry fee is 12 euros per group (3 euros per person). Groups will be competing against each other in a quintathlon LAUREAMKO-style, where the events are 100m relay, pair-bagjump, freestyle piggyback race, hulahula-hoops and pair-long jump. There will also be a playful cheerleading competition. Prizes for the best competitors and cheerleaders! For more information check facebook and LAUREAMKO.fi!

On Thursday after Easter 28.4.2011 Ateneum opens its doors for students again, free admission with a student card all day,  10 am–10 pm. Last fall’s ART FOR US concept will be repeated at the Wappu pre-party. Begin the workers’ festivities with Ateneum’s exhibition Illusions of Reality in an ideological spirit! Lots of activities will be offered during the day, e.g. introduction lectures about the exhibition Illusions of Reality, music performances, discussions and discounts at the bookstore. The day will climax heroically in the spirit of Kaurismäki when the Calamari Union film will be shown in restaurant Tablo at 6.30 pm. After the film the discussion about Kaurismäki’s Helsinki will continue, the bar is open until 10 pm. More info: ateneum.fi/facebook event: taidettameille.

General secretary Terhi Peltonen is taking her maternity leave and her replacement is 27 year old Saku Jokisalo from Hämeenlinna. He has done a long journey in student politics i.e. the president of SAMOK. All the contact info will remain the same. The new general secretary wishes the best of spring to all. =)

If you don´t have work for the summer, then do the summer studies. Finland's largest strategic alliance of universities of applied sciences, FUAS, offers its students new possibilities for building just the career paths than they want. FUAS offers students the possibility of taking degree studies in the form of summer studies. Studies included in their PSPs are free for students. Students must have summer studies approved for their PSPs in advance by a degree programme coordinator. Due date for enrolment is 29.4.
