1. Sick of snow?! Then Kevätpäivän nollaus is perfect for you!
LAUREAMKO Leppävaara presents the legendary Kevätpäivän nollaus- party on Wednesday 30th of March from 8pm till 4am @ Jenny Woo (Simonkatu 6, Helsinki).
In the hottest party of this spring we’ll shake off the rest of this winter’s snow from our shoulders and have fun till the break of dawn. This party won’t even stress your wallet too much; there will be student-friendly prices the entire night. Check facebook for more information on this event and ticket sale. Tickets are only 3€ for LAUREAMKO members and 5€ for non-members.

2. International tutor sign-up continues
Now it's time for you to hop into the world of internationality and
apply for being an international tutor! Application period continues
until the end of March and the training will be held on the 15th and 16th
of April. This is an opportunity you don't want to miss!

3. LAUREAMKO trip to St. Petersburg
Sign-up for LAUREAMKO trip to St. Petersburg is still on and lots of spaces
available! Join the visa-free cruise to Russia and see what the eastern block looks
like! The trip takes place between 21st and 25th of April.

 

Breaking the Ice 25.3. at 12 Narinkkatori in Helsinki! Breaking the Ice is with the Laurea is an event which is carried out by Laurea students. The event is for those who are looking for a study place and students of Laurea. The eventispacked with program. Official afterparty is in Circus. LAUREAMKO is also taking part in the event.  The event takes place in Helsinki the 16^th of March. On that Wednesday the students from Laurea visit ten pubs in Helsinki and for every purchase (incl. food, non-alcoholic beverages) they get a marking on their party pass. If you bring the pass with at least 8 markings to the afterparty, you will get an overall badge! In every pub the prices are very suitable for a student budget! The afterparty starts at 9 pm in DOM Helsinki. The event starts at 4 pm at Amarillo (Mikonkatu)The price for the day and the afterparty is 6 Euros! You must sign up in groups of 2-6 people. All universities of applied sciences comprise a statutory Financial Aid Committee. The Committee issues statements for Kela Centre for Student Financial Aid on whether the studies are full-time or part-time and on study progress. This information is used by Kela in evaluating students’ eligibility for financial aid. The Financial Aid Committee together with Kela are responsible for the annual monitoring of study progress. In addition, the Committee processes financial aid applications for summer studies. The Financial Committee meets about once a month in Laurea Tikkurila. For the student member position, guidance of rules and regulations is available and since there are altogether 4 student members in the Committee, no one needs to act alone representing the Laurea student matters. The atmosphere in the meetings is very open and conversational. The time period for member position is 2 years.In the meeting of LAUREAMKOs Council of Representatives 12.4.2011, 4 ordinary members and 4 deputy members for the Financial Aid Committee will be elected, for the 2-year position that starts in summer. LAUREAMKO lets the selected ones know about the decision on the next day.
