1. Design a mascot for LAUREAMKO
LAUREAMKO will renew their website during this spring and one of the design renovations is to design a LAUREAMKO mascot. Your help is needed for this! The mascot will not only decorate the website but also represent LAUREAMKO in posters and different kinds of events. Theme for the mascot is not restricted. So be creative and design your own version. The best mascot will be rewarded. You can send your designs to: tiedotus (at) laureamko.fi
2. Visit the Natural History Museum
LAUREAMKO and METKA organizes a visit to the Natural History Museum on Thursday 18.3.2010 beginning at 16.00. Entrance is for free. Guidance is held in finnish and it’s also for free.
There isn’t room for everyone, so sign in quickly, latest 11.3.2010. Signing in via email Merja:wellbeing (at) laureamko.fi.
3. PUB CRAWL 17.3.
Student Union LAUREAMKO wants to go bar hopping on March 17th and wants you to come with us! In Pub Crawl students go around bars in Helsinki and for every purchase they will get a marking on their pass. With the pass they have access to the afterparty at Virgin Oil and with almost full pass they will get an overall badge! Cost for all this is 6e and you can sign up at www.laureamko.fi!
4. Amazing Race Leppävaara
The traditional Laurea version of the TV show Amazing Race but with a wilder and better race! 19.5.2010, at Leppävaara – More information later on.
5. A chance to apply to be a international tutor
Yet again opens a possibility to become a international tutor. Now is your chance to be part or international atmosphere and tasks AND earn 3 credit points while at it. If you wish, you can choose to be a exchange tutor or become a “class tutor” for a new degree group. Sign up link and more info on web pages.
6. Welfare day at Laurea Tikkurila
Students of social services are organizing a welfare day at Laurea Tikkurila for students and staff on Tuesday 23.3.2010 from 10 am till 2 pm. Amongst other things there will be product exhibitions, a beauty contest for Laurea staff and a surprise performer! Come and enjoy a good atmosphere and get new experiences!
7. Find your own story
Group is meant for 20 to 29 year olds who experience melancholy, fatigue, loneliness, anxiety, or nervousness and want to come to the confidential group to reflect on the life situation with others of the same age. The participants discuss in peer groups current issues, such as mood, shyness, loneliness, social nervousness, study / work pressures and means to support wellbeing. Participants hopes are taken into account in the content of the group. The group is free of charge to participants.
Group starts: 15.3.2010 and meets on Mondays from 18.00 to 20.00, 10 + 1 times.
Meeting place: At Tapuli seurakuntakoti near Puistola’s train station.

9. NothinG but the Best nro. 9, 13.3.2010
The legendary NothinG but the Best club is back at Helsinki Club on Saturday 13.3.2010. NothinG but the Best will swip you off your feet with the best RnB, Hip Hop, Dancehall and Reggaeton mixed with an attitude! The club is hosted by one of the biggest urban Djs in Finland - Dj Rahim (Players Crib / Midnight Productions), along side with talented Dj - Dj Blac (Players Crib / Midnight Productions), studying in Laurea himself. The international act of the party straight from Germany, Cologne is Dj Say Whaat (Rowdy Records), who has the reputation of leaving the dancefloor wondering “Whaat??” As when he’s on the turntables, he makes sure that the dancefloor is blazing hot like lava! He is also one of the biggest urban Djs in Europe.
Sat 13.3.2010, 22-04, Helsinki Club (Yliopistonkatu 8, Hki). Age limit 18. Tickets 8 euros, and for all Laurea students 5 euros ONLY with the studentcard. Remember to show your Laurea’s student card to the ticketseller and come early to avoid long cues!

10. Spring Day blowout
Is school stressing you out? That is why we decided to organize a proper blowout! Come and meet with school friends, to meet new ones and enjoy the program! 24.3.2010 Helsinki, the bar will be announced later. The event is also in Facebook. Tickets 3€, including overall badge (first 150)
11. Faust - Metal Ooppera
Faust - Metal Opera combines metal, physical theater and the visual illusions of rock and metal in their own arena. Faust - Metal Opera Theater will enter the world of rock and the atmosphere over action movie theater. Shows at Nosturi (Telakkakatu 8, Helsinki) .
