1. Is there a student card in your pocket?
Where ever you go in Finland, with the student card you quickly ensure to others that you are areal student of Laurea University of Applied Sciences and you´ll get all the discounts for students. Student card saves you a lot of money, and the sooner you get it, the more you´ll save!

As a member of LAUREAMKO you get a card which gives you all national and local benefits and discounts, for example Kela´s meal benefit at school restaurant, you travel cheaper in trains and busses, and there´s hundreds of more discounts.. As a student of University of Applied Sciences, your Student Union LAUREAMKO is the place to order the official student card from.

2. Remember to update your student card sticker!
Check out your student card and make sure you have a sticker on there that states lukuvuosi 2011-2012 since only that will get you through to autumn time. In other case hiphop to LAUREAMKO to update your card to a relevant sticker. 
(Notice, if you have autumn/syys 2011-sticker, it is only valid until 31.1.2012)

3. Lenni is looking for a friend to the LAUREAMKO board!
Active? Innovative? Interested in educational politics? Lenni needs a new friend to the Board of Laurea Student Union. If you feel that this is your cup of tea,
please send an informal application to puheenjohtaja@laureamko.fi before 31.1.

4. On The Road- days
OTR meaning the Boards On The Road- unit visits are about to happen again, so check the schedules of your own unit and come to see the great gang of LAUREAMKO. There is a good chance to get overalls and badges for them, renew the sticker in your students card and other little fun stuff.

WARNING!
5. There is still some room on our FREE jujutsu course!
The basics class of jujutsu arranged with LAUREAMKO and Combat Society has still some openings. The course begins as soon as 18.1. but there’s no problem in starting two weeks later.  The course lasts for three months and the classes are mostly on Wednesday and Friday evenings. You can find additional information and registration info on LAUREAMKO’s  web-page.

6. Back to School
New year, new events! Once again LAUREAMKO opens the year with the Back to School party. This time the event will take place in Onnela Helsinki where all students beginning, continuing or graduating their studies are warmly welcome to join!
Fastest ones will get an awesome overall badge!
