1. STUDENT CARD
Is the most important assett for the students! When you have the student card, you are able to enjoy all the benefits with just one card and also quickly ensure to others that you are a real student of Laurea University of Applied Sciences. The card is a sign of your membership in your student union LAUREAMKO, which most important task is to promote the interests of students of Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
With the student card you can get a lot of discounts from different places in Finland. A good thing to remember is to show it all the time and everywhere. You never know where they might give you a nice price. The card- and membership fee is only :6 € the card (new members) + 18 € semester fee = 24 €

2. LAUREAMKO On The Road
LAUREAMKO comes to each of Laurea’s campuses at the beginning of the semester. Our stand is usually located at the lobby from 10.00 to14.00. You can come and ask us whatever comes to mind. We also sell overalls, overall badges, stickers to student card, tickets freshmen’s events after party, etc. So come over and say hello to the peeps from student union on your campuses OTR day.
3. Freshmen’s event
Freshmen’s event, the biggest event for all the new students, starts on Wednesday 9th of February 16.30pm at Narinkkatori in Helsinki. You’ll be in for small assignments around the center of Helsinki and all sorts of fun activity with your own group and tutors. So gather up your starting group and arrive with your tutors to Narinkkatori. For more information turn to your tutors or send email to: tutor(at)laureamko.fi.

9.2. @ Huuma. Party starts at 21.00 and tickets are 4€ with student card and 6€ without it. New and old students are all welcome!
5. LAUREAMKO OtR & OP Bank
Helsinki OP Bank is joins up to the On the Road - the events as LAUREAMKOs partner on Monday, 17.1. Otaniemi, Thursday Leppävaara 20.1 and 1.2 on Tuesday. Tikkurila. Come to visit the stand - get more information on youth services and you can also participate in the lottery.
The prize value of 250€, OP-OP-bonuses or shares in mutual funds the same amount if the winner does not have a bonus account.
6. Poikkitieteellinen Pursiseura is looking for a visual designer
Poikkitieteellinen Pursiseura aka PPS organizes twice a year LOB student cruise, which is aimed for university students. The main target groups are the Laurea students.
At PPS it does not matter whether you know how to make sailor knot, or know which side is starboard. The important thing is that you know how to use the graphical programs as well as print and manage web-programs independently. As the visual designer you are responsible for all visual material for the LOBin cruise. In addition you need to be more cooperative.
