1. Do you want to decide?

LAUREAMKO holds their elections for the Council of Representative on 14.12.2010. Every member of the Student Union who has paid their membership has the right to be a nominee for the elections. Sign ups for nominees must be done before the 23.11.2010 3 pm. Council of Representatives is the student union’s highest decision-making body. In other words, they make decisions regarding the union’s action plan and budgets – i.e. what services we are to offer and how we will pay for them. More info about the election and the council you will find in our website.

2. Little Xmas-party

Come join us in the last party of the year, preXmas-party in Kamikaze (Fredrikinkatu 48) 1.12. at 10 pm. Dress up in the spirit of the season, it’s Christmas! Free badges to the first ones and naughty program for everyone ;) Tickets with studentcard 3e, others 5e.

3. Benefits of the month

Tickets to every Wednesdays Stand Up & Dance – comedy club only 10€ (norm. 14€) by showing your student card. Shows are in Sokos Hotel Vantaa’s Tulisuudelma. Show’s in Finnish! You can buy tickets at the door.

CAGE Vol.14 ALL STARS professional mixed martial arts match on Saturday 20th of November at Espoo Barona Arena. Tickets for LAUREAMKO’s members -10%! The match includes both Finnish and international stars.

4. Recycling spot at LAUREAMKO Leppävaara

Good stuff for free, for example glass, cups, pots, blankets, pillows, bedsheets, towels. Open when Leppävaara office is open. Welcome!

Student Union LAUREAMKO proudly invites you to celebrate it’s 14th Anniversary party 20.11.2010 in Laurea Tikkurila. Anniversary party is an annual event, where guests can eat, drink, sing, dance, toast and much more. Dinnercard fo members of LAUREAMKO 35e and others 45e. Cultural Evenings in Laurea for all Laurea students and staff members on the last Thursday of each month at 16.00-20.00. 25.11 Hyvinkää, 16.12 Otaniemi, (Kerava, Lohja and Porvoo in the spring semester) Check out the more info of the Cultural Evenings at LAUREAMKO web site and join the get-together at your own unit or even tour through all of them!

8. I don’t quite get it…

Guided tour (in Finnish) at the Museum of Contemporary Art KIASMA on Wednesday 1.12.2010 at 5 pm (guided tour at 5-6 pm and then time to visit the museum on your own till 8.30 pm). The visit is for free for Laurea students. Sign up to Merja at latest on 29.11.2010: wellbeing (at) laureamko.fi.
