1. Hanging out evening 8.10.2010
Come and meet new and old students. Many students come to the hang out night for the first time, so don’t hesitate to come even if you don’t know anyone there. You can make candles and play board games during the evening. Snacks are provided. The event is open to everyone. Welcome! Additional information: sofia.lindqvist(at)hyy.fi. 5. “Worklife rules” for international students
Union of Salaried Employees (Toimihenkilöunionni) is organizing seminar about Worklife rules in Finland for international students on 5.10.2010 at 15.30 at Ruoholahti. Seminar includes basics of worklife rules and practices. Seminar is held in English and its target group is international students. Place is at the main office of Union of Salaried Employees, Selkämerenkuja 1 Ruoholahti, Helsinki. To sign up for the seminar, go to www.laureamko.fi. Sign up is binding. 6. TRAFFIC LIGHT PARTY October 7th @ Butterfly
It’s time to look for the One or at least a couple of wrong ones so the Autumn doesn’t feel so cold and dark. Dress code is the original: Green: available, yellow: maybe..? red: taken. And as a bonus: Purple: what ever you want! If you can’t find clothes in the right color, we’ll be selling some cool badges to state your status! In addition, there’ll be some kind of program to help your search... ;) Tickets: 2/4e (member/non-member), doors will open at 10 pm.
7. Seize the moment to internationalize!
Cultural Evenings in Laurea for all Laurea students and staff members on the last Thursday of each month at 16.00-20.00. 30.9 Leppävaara, 28.10 Tikkurila, 25.11 Hyvinkää, 16.12 Otaniemi, (Kerava, Lohja and Porvoo in the spring semester) Check out the more info of the Cultural Evenings at LAUREAMKO web site and join the get-together at your own unit or even tour through all of them!
8. Bowl your worries away
Let’s go bowling together in Ruusula Bowlingalley (Ruusulankatu 3-5) October 19th from 8 pm to 10 pm. Price is 8 e per bowler (+2e cloak room). Informal and binding enrolments via e-mail to tapahtumat(at)laureamko.fi by October 15th. Come alone or together, for an hour or two, you’ll have a good time.
9. Do you desire power?
Be a nominee for the election of council of representatives, the highest decision-making body. You must sign up to be a nominee before 11.10. 3 pm. More info from the website!
10. Chocolate tasting @ Fazer
LAUREAMKO wants to scratch the itch in your sweet tooth! The student union organizes a free visit to Fazer’s factory in Vantaa 3.11. There are guided visits in English too (duration 1.5h). More info at www.laureamko.fi. -> Activities

Good stuff for free, for example glass, cups, pots, blankets, pillows, bedsheets, towels. Open when Leppävaara office is open. Welcome!
13. Art for us
Free event day for students at Ateneum, 7 October 2010. Thursday 7 October is student day at the Ateneum Art Museum. Students can get in free by showing their student cards. Special events will take place throughout the day: you can participate to a guided tour of Viiva Italia -exhibition, catch a glimpse of performers as they move through the museum, and buy items at reduced prices from the museum shop.
