1. LAUREAMKO Holla!
What up ya’ll! It’s you boy here! They call me THE LAUREAMKO, sometimes also referred to as the Student Union. I got yo’ back always dawg! So just holla whenever you got some problems with, let’s say studying, student card, student life or whaeva! Every once in a while (read; every other week) I’ll step up and say what’s what and where! What’s what can be found in every unit, web pages and your e-mail! I’ll be stoppin’ by too in the near future so we’ll pound some bone when i’m in your hood!
2. Student card in your wallet, everything is okay!
That´s right. You get a student card by joining your student union LAUREAMKO. See instructions www.laureamko.fi. With student card you are able to enjoy all the benefits and student discounts where ever you go! Student card is the most important assett for the students, so get yourself a card as soon as possible.
Those who already have a student card, it is time to renew last year´s sticker 2010-2011, which expires on 30th September. Get a new sticker from LAUREAMKO´s offices or come to “On The Road”-days in the beginning of September, when LAUREAMKO will visit every campus.
3. Back to School!!
Time to dig out your overalls from that dusty closet of yours! The school is starting again we all love it! We are celebrating the beginning of school on the 1st of September at Tivoli nightclub in Helsinki! Everyone is welcome including the new students, still studentsand finished students! The quickest and fastest ones will get an awesomely cool and chilled out Lenni badge!
Tickets at the door 3 euros.

4. Fresher’s Event afterparty!
The official afterparty of the Fresher’s Event is in Onnela, Helsinki on the 14th of September! Fastest ones will get an overall badge!

5. Sign up for Sport Courses!
Get energized and sign up for LAUREAMKO sport courses! Remember also to use sport hall shifts, witch are open for all. Find all sport information at our website.
6. FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2011!!!
LAUREAMKOs traditional football tournament is here once again! Tournament will be held at the sports field of Leppävaara on the 21st of September. We will have two “leagues”; pro and less-pro. So huddle up your friends, form a team and take part in competing against other Laurea students. The teams must be comprised mainly of Laurea people and in the less-pro league there must be at least two women on the field.
Games will be played on a small field with 6+1 players and the game time is 2 x 12 minutes. Tournament attendance fee is 29 € per team and it has to be paid before the tournament!

7. New members in LAUREAMKO organization
Otso Nuotio is the new member of the LAUREAMKO board and is taking care of communication. Otso is studying safety and security managment in Leppävaara.
Inka Linna has started as an international intern for LAUREAMKO and will be working untill october.

Tikkurila: Mon-Tue 9:00-13:00, Wed-Thu 12:00-16:00
Leppävaara Tue 9:00-13:00, Wed-Thu 12:00-16:00
Offices are closed on Fridays.
In other local units LAUREAMKOs local actors will notify their on-call times on bulletin boards.
