We come back to our usual office opening hours on 16.1.:

New members: Student cards are ready to be picked up earliest from week 3 onwards.
2. Back to School!!
Time to dig out your overalls from that dusty closet of yours! The school is starting again we all love it! We are celebrating the beginning of school on the 15st of January at Onnela nightclub in Helsinki! Everyone is welcome including the new students, still studentsand finished students! The quickest and fastest ones will get an awesomely cool and chilled out Lenni badge!
Tickets at the door 3 euros.
Doors open at 21.00.

The official afterparty of the Fresher’s Event is in Fredan Tivoli, Helsinki on the 15th of February!
Fastest ones will get an overall badge!

4. Student card is the most important thing to a student, no doubt!
Where ever you go in Finland, with the card you quickly ensure to others that you are areal student of Laurea University of Applied Sciences and you´ll get all the discounts for students. Student card saves you a lot of money, and the sooner you get it, the more you´ll save! As a member of LAUREAMKO you get a card whichgives you all national and local benefits and discounts, for example Kela´s meal benefit at school restaurant, you travel cheaper in trains and busses, and there´s hundreds of more discounts.. As a student of University of Applied Sciences, your Student Union LAUREAMKO is the place to order the official student card from. And the best thing is, LAUREAMKO´s membership fees are reasonable:
Semester 18 € (valid 1.1.2012 – 30.9.2012)
Academic year 23 € (valid 1.8.2012 – 30.9.2013) (for those who join in autumn!)
3,5 years 80 € (valid 1.1.2012 – 30.9.2015)
4 years 85 € (valid 1.1.2012 – 31.1.2016)
When you join and order the card for the first time, you must pay also the card fee,depending on which card you want. For example, the basic SAMOK-student card fee is only 6€. You can also choose to order Lyyra- or international Lyyra/ISIC-combination card which is useful also abroad!
5. You have an outdated sticker on your card?
Hey you, the one that decided to continue the studies in the beginning of spring semester. Check out your student card and make sure you have a sticker on there that states lukuvuosi 2011-2012 since only that will get you through to autumn time. In other case hiphop to LAUREAMKO to update your card to a relevant sticker. Do remember that only the card with the valid sticker proves your right to discounts and benefits attached to the student card.
