Sugar rush @ Fazer

3.11 Laurea`s students had the opportunity to visit the Fazer chocolate factory and, of course, at the same time to taste all sorts of different kinds of good chocolates. Tours were available in Finnish and English from morning onwards. Although the day had been rainy, the lovely smell of chocolate reached the factory yard. I could not wait to get inside and taste the chocolate. First we went round the factory with a guide who introduced the factory to us. After the tour we got to taste all kinds of different chocolates. There was traditional Fazer´s Blue and many other great chocolate candies. After the tasting we moved to the auditorium to view the video about Karl Fazer's life and the development of the factory. In the video there was presented Fazer´s different sweets and it came to my attention that the Fazer`s Blue has been enjoyed since 1922. After the video, students could go to the factory shop and buy some sweets to take home. Before going home everybody were given gift bags containing sweets and bread which can be enjoyed tonight home on the couch.
