Minuuttipeliä (Minute to Win It)

LAUREAMKO Student Union received an invitation to see the filming of the new game show Minuuttipeliä (Minute to Win It). We gathered a group of students from Hyvinkää, Leppävaara and Tikkurila and headed to MTV3 studios in Ilmala on Monday 7th of March.  We had an adventure while we were trying to find the right place but finally we arrived to the studios and found a table full of snacks. (We were hoping that they would serve champagne and strawberries, but we got Fanta and fruits instead.)

In the beginning the stage director explained what we are supposed to do and we practiced how to applause, cheer and show disappointment. After that it was time to start filming.

The idea of the game show is that contestants take part in a series of 60-second challenges that use objects that are commonly available around the house. If the contestants complete the challenge successfully they advance to the next level and win more money. Challenges were so fun that we had good ideas for the next year’s Freshmen’s Event.. During the afternoon there were three contestants and they filmed two shows. The broadcasting starts on 21st of March on MTV3.

They chose one person from the audience and he had a chance to try one of the challenges and win travel gift certificate worth of 500 €. Unfortunately the one person wasn’t any of us although we were “the flying squad” of the filming.

EDIT: I received a phone call on Thursday 10th of March and we found ourselves from the studios...again. Congratulations to Eetu, who left from the studios with the travel gift certificate worth of 500 €!! :)
